Tragic Road Mishap Claims Life of BRS Lawmaker Lasya Nanditha in Hyderabad

In a devastating turn of events, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) lawmaker G Lasya Nanditha lost her life in a road mishap on the Outer Ring Road in Telangana’s Sangareddy district, on the outskirts of Hyderabad, according to police reports cited by Hindustan Times.

The fatal accident occurred around 6:30 am today as Nanditha was returning to the city. Police investigations revealed that the driver lost control of the Sports Utility Vehicle – Maruti XL6 – resulting in a collision with the metal barrier on the expressway’s left side.

Tragically, Nanditha succumbed to her injuries at the scene, while the driver sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a nearby private hospital in Patancheru. Reports indicate his condition to be critical.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy expressed profound grief over Nanditha’s untimely demise in a heartfelt message shared on the microblogging site. He reminisced about his close association with Nanditha’s father, Swargiya Sayanna, who passed away in the same month last year. Reddy extended his deepest condolences to the grieving family and prayed for Nanditha’s soul to rest in peace.

The tragic incident comes on the heels of another close call for Nanditha, who narrowly escaped minor injuries in a traffic accident at Marriguda junction on February 13. The accident occurred while she was returning from a public rally attended by BRS President and former chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Following the near-miss, Nanditha reassured well-wishers on X (formerly Twitter), expressing gratitude for their concern and support.

Nanditha, the daughter of former BRS legislator late G Sayanna, emerged victorious from the Secunderabad Cantonment assembly constituency in the assembly elections held last November. Her political journey stemmed from her involvement as a corporator in the Kavadiguda division of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and her dedicated participation in party activities.

The tragic loss of Nanditha marks a somber moment for the BRS and the political landscape of Telangana, as her promising career and spirited contributions come to an abrupt and untimely end.
