DMK Leader Udhayanidhi Stalin Slams Centre, Dubs PM Modi ’28 Paisa PM’

Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Udhayanidhi Stalin, Tamil Nadu Minister and prominent DMK leader, launched scathing criticism against the BJP-led Centre, alleging discriminatory fund allocation towards the state. Addressing rallies in Ramanathapuram and Theni, he dubbed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as ’28 paisa PM’ in reference to the meager funds allocated to Tamil Nadu.

Stalin accused the Centre of only allocating 28 paise to Tamil Nadu for every rupee the state contributed in taxes, contrasting this with allegedly more favorable treatment towards BJP-ruled states.

Moreover, Udhayanidhi Stalin condemned the Centre’s introduction of the National Education Policy (NEP), asserting that it jeopardizes the future of Tamil Nadu’s youth. He emphasized the perceived neglect of Tamil Nadu by the Centre in terms of fund distribution, developmental projects, and the controversial NEET examination.

In a symbolic gesture, Udhayanidhi Stalin brandished a brick representing ‘AIIMS Madurai,’ highlighting the stalled progress of the project despite its initial foundation-laying.

Furthermore, the DMK leader criticized Prime Minister Modi for purportedly only visiting Tamil Nadu during election seasons, suggesting political opportunism.

With Tamil Nadu set to cast its votes on April 19th across its 39 Lok Sabha seats, Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks intensify the political discourse in the state.
