Tamil Nadu Plus Two Results 2024 Announced: 94.56% Students Clear Exam

The eagerly awaited Tamil Nadu Plus Two results for the year 2024 have been declared by the Tamil Nadu Directorate of Government Examinations (TNDGE). The results are now accessible to students via the official websites dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.

This year, approximately 94.56% of students have successfully passed the Class 12 Higher Secondary Examination (HSE). To access their individual scorecards, students are required to input their registration number or roll number along with the designated password.

The Class 12 HSE exams, commonly referred to as the TN Plus Two exams, were conducted from March 1st to March 22nd. Over eight lakh students participated in these examinations, marking a significant academic milestone in their educational journey.

Of the 7,60,606 candidates who appeared for the exams, an impressive 7,19,196 candidates emerged victorious. The success rate among female candidates stands at 96.44%, with 3,93,890 girls clearing the exams, while among male candidates, 92.37% were successful, totaling 3,25,305 boys. Additionally, one candidate of the third gender category also successfully cleared the examinations.

However, it’s notable that the number of students appearing for the TN Class 12 +2 exams has seen fluctuations over the years. In 2019, there were 8,42,512 students, which decreased to 7,79,931 in 2020. The numbers rose marginally in 2021 to 8,16,473 but dipped again to 8,06,277 in 2022. In the previous year, 2023, the number of students taking the exam further declined to 8,03,385.

Comparing the pass percentages over the years provides insights into the educational trends in Tamil Nadu. In 2022, the overall pass percentage in the TN Class 12 exams was 93.80%, while it was a perfect 100% in 2021, indicating a notable achievement. In 2020 and 2019, the pass percentages were 92.34% and 91.30%, respectively.

Last year, the TN HSE Plus Two results were announced on May 8th, with the examinations conducted from March 4th to March 25th. The overall pass percentage in all streams combined was 94.03%. In 2023, the pass percentage in science was 96.32%, while in commerce and arts, it stood at 91.63% and 81.89%, respectively.

Looking ahead, the Tamil Nadu Board Class 10 results are expected to be revealed on May 10th. The SSLC examinations were conducted from March 26th to April 8th, with practical exams held between February 26th and 28th.

As students eagerly await their results, these announcements mark significant milestones in the educational landscape of Tamil Nadu, showcasing the dedication and perseverance of its young learners.
