Major Arrests in Prostitution Racket Following NIA Tip-Off

In a significant breakthrough, the police made several arrests and rescued two young girls from a prostitution racket following a crucial tip-off from the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The NIA, which was already investigating a petrol bomb attack on Raj Bhawan, provided the tip-off that led to these arrests.

The investigation took a pivotal turn when the NIA team searched the residence of an accomplice of Kaduka Vinoth, the primary suspect in the Raj Bhawan attack. During this search, they identified Nadhiya as Vinoth’s girlfriend and uncovered digital evidence linking her to a prostitution racket.

Upon receiving this information, the state police, under the leadership of ACP Rajalakshmi, swiftly acted and raided a lodge. During the raid, Nadhiya was arrested, along with six other individuals involved in the racket. The arrested individuals are Ramachandran, Sumathi, Maya Oli, Jayashree, Ashok Kumar, and Ramendran.

The raid also led to the rescue of two girls, aged 17 and 18, who were found at the lodge on Saturday. The investigation revealed that Nadhiya had been coercing girls into prostitution by threatening to send compromising videos to their parents if they refused to comply.

This operation marks a significant achievement in the ongoing efforts to dismantle human trafficking and prostitution networks in the region. The rescued girls are now safe, and the authorities are continuing their investigation to uncover more details about the racket and its operations.
