Sasikala visits Madhusudhanan in Chennai hospital; EPS leaves immediately
CHENNAI: High drama was witnessed on Tuesday when V K Sasikala, the close confidante of late chief minister J Jayalalithaa, visited a Chennai hospital to visit AIADMK presidium chairman E Madhusudanan who is undergoing treatment in an intensive care unit there.
Former chief minister and AIADMK joint coordinator Edappadi K Palaniswami and Chennai district secretaries were also in the hospital around the same time. They left immediately. “EPS was not there when Sasikala visited Madhusudhanan,” said a source.
Sasikala came in a car carrying the AIADMK flag and spent 15 minutes in the hospital.
“Madhusudhanan started MGR Mandram in North Chennai in 1952 when he was just 16 years. He was so affectionate towards Thalaivar (former chief minister and AIADMK founder M G Ramachandran). He was also a member of legislative council,” Sasikala told reporters later.
